Between 30% and 40% of Christians in the world do not have a Bible, and many of them are preachers and Christian leaders. There is a famine of the Word of God in many parts of the world, and OPAL's vision is to address this key need. The Bible plays a vital role in the Christian life. Imagine the difficulties of trying to prepare a sermon or Bible study without a Bible!
For Christians to grow in their faith and understanding, getting a Bible is a vital necessity.
At the heart of OPAL's work is supplying Bibles to those who need them most. Over recent years, OPAL has been able to supply tens of thousands of Bibles to Christians, and our priority remains getting the Word of God to as many people as possible. We supply Bibles in many translations and editions for leaders who need them most. Read here what we are doing to address this need.

BIBLES ON A BIKE
Recently, OPAL was asked to help a local Christian leader get Bibles for his ministry in Malawi. The churches he is working with are growing fast, but he has limited resources. As we discussed this need with him, it became clear that his only means of transport was a bicycle. We wondered how many Bibles you can carry on a Bicycle? The answer was sixty! We were able to supply him with Bibles in the Chichewa and the Ellomwe languages to help support him in his rapidly growing ministry.
If you would like to help get a Bible into the hands of a Christian leader in one of the poorest parts of the world, please contact us.
