As part of its ministry of Serving churches and Christian leaders in the Majority World with quality evangelical literature, OPAL produces simple gospel tracts which can be used in outreach. Many are available in other languages.
In 2025, Gospel Printing Mission became a ministry of OPAL Trust.
Gospel Printing Mission was founded by David Cotton in 1960, operating a hand-printing press in his father’s garden shed. David began designing and printing text cards containing the Good News of Jesus to share around the world. Each year, hundreds of thousands of tracts have been distributed for free across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. By 2020, the ministry was sending out tracts in thirty-five languages to fifty-seven countries.
With the sad death of David Cotton in 2022, it became increasingly difficult to keep the GPM ministry going. David's widow, Margaret, reflected,
‘Of course, I am sad that I cannot do the work anymore, but in OPAL God has supplied just the right people to take over in His wonderful timing.’
The vision of Gospel Printing Mission is the same as OPAL's, to get evangelical literature where it is most needed.
