Pittsboro Christian Village (PCV) is a retirement community in North Carolina, USA, home to about 100 believers. When new residents move in, they sometimes need to downsize their personal libraries.
Enter Carol Goodman. Carol is an expert librarian. While working at the Elementary School Library at a university, she decided to pursue a masters in Library Science at the University of South Carolina. After graduating, she became the librarian for a large law firm, managing books for over a thousand attorneys.
Today, Carol lives at PCV and manages their library. When new residents need to reduce the number of Christian books they have, she selects what is suitable for the PCV library, then calls OPAL. Last year she helped OPAL by donating 20 boxes of used Christian books. These are sent by OPAL to the parts of the world where there is a great need for good Christian literature.
