Bibles to Africa

In 2021 OPAL was unexpectedly offered a very large donation of used Bibles in good condition. A key part of OPAL’s ministry is sending Bibles to the parts of the world where there is great need for them. With the kind help of Strathaven Evangelical Church, Scotland, OPAL has been able to ship 12,000 of these to Zimbabwe, where they will be used in schools, prisons, and other outreach work. These have just been safely delivered. Those who have received them are delighted with the gift. Some were recently presented to schoolchildren for use in their Religious Education lessons. Through this project thousands of Bibles have been made available in the homes of African families.
