New Head of Ministry at OPAL!

We are pleased to share news of the appointment of Steve Moore as our new Head of Ministry.  Ian Burness, Chair of the OPAL Trustees, made the announcement - 'We are delighted to welcome Steve Moore to the OPAL International team. His experience in ministry and church leadership will strengthen our passion to resource the growing church around the world with Bibles and accessible books.'

Steve brings more than ten years of ministry experience, working with students in Aberdeen at Hebron Evangelical Church and then as Leader for Teaching and Whole Life Worship at Hebron in Carlisle. He loves the Church and is passionate about seeing its leaders and its members thrive.

Steve shared his excitement at this new role: ‘I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with OPAL and resonate deeply with the vision to equip the global church with Bibles and quality evangelical resources. I am looking forward to listening, learning and working alongside the OPAL team and our mission partners as together we humbly serve our God and His mission in this world.’

Steve will begin part-time with OPAL in January while completing his PhD and will transition to full-time in September 2026.  He will be primarily responsible for the strategic leadership of OPAL Trust, the promotion of OPAL’s work, and caring for its various supporters and donors.
