The Joy of Partnering with Local Churches

OPAL is blessed by having many individuals who faithfully support our work, but it is also a great encouragement when local church fellowships partner with us. One such partnership is with Strathaven Evangelical Church in Scotland. The members of the fellowship regularly pray for the ministry and offer practical support. In late 2021 the missions committee of the church approached OPAL seeking a specific project to adopt. The one they chose was that of funding the container and shipping costs for the 12,000 Bibles OPAL sent to Zimbabwe. This major project was completed in early 2022, and the Bibles are now being used in schools, prisons, and other outreach work.

OPAL has many projects currently underway, some small and some large. They range from sending small study packs of books to Christian leaders on training programmes, to funding the printing of a key resource, or shipping hundreds of books to build libraries for Bible Schools.
